Origins

Count Domenico Agusta and the Agusta family

Read the manufacturer through the machines that changed its engineering, racing, design, market or cultural meaning.

The Agusta family established MV Agusta motorcycle production after the Second World War. Small motorcycles supported the business while factory racing became extraordinarily successful. The 1970s four-cylinder road machines carried Grand Prix glamour onto the street; the brand’s later revival centred on Massimo Tamburini’s F4 and the naked Brutale.
